The Spills Meadow
The Spills Meadow
photo 2015
The Spills Meadow, Kent Street.
This modern Public House was built in the early 1970s and opened in 1976,
it is named after a nearby street of the same name, derived possibly from
an earlier tithe piece in this area.
The pub closed in 2022, and was sol by Marstons Brewery in 2023.
Plans are afoot to convert the former pub into shops with flats above. Origin of the pub name 'Spills Meadow'Like the name suggests, the pub is named after a meadow in this part of Upper Gornal. ~
